EDA Annual Convention 2025

 

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the European Dairy Association (EDA), I am pleased to welcome you this November to the 2025 Annual Convention here in the beautiful city of Utrecht. Dairy is not only delicious, but it is also nutritious and healthy. Built on this strong foundation, we will be able to further develop the dairy industry in order to deliver an even bigger contribution in overcoming the global challenges ahead.

As ambassadors of the European dairy sector, we carry forward a significant heritage, representing Europe’s rich cultural and culinary traditions. The dairy sector is the backbone of the European countryside, and the numbers speak for themselves: 18 billion euros in revenue, 12,000 milk processing and dairy product locations, more than 300,000 specialized employees, and 650,000 dairy farms that form the core of our milk production.

Our industry’s success is based on a shared vision, a well-functioning internal market, an ambitious trade policy, and strong collaboration within the dairy chain. Moving forward, our focus will be on nourishing a sustainable future and nurturing innovation. Also the theme of the 2025 Annual Convention.

In my new role as President of the European Dairy Association, I am committed to leveraging my experience as CEO of Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods and Chairman of the Dutch Dairy Organization (NZO). I will share my knowledge and dedicate all my energy to further strengthening our dairy sector.

I look forward to meeting you in person during the EDA Annual Convention, which will take place from November 12-14 in my home country, the Netherlands.

Together, let us continue to build a successful and sustainable future for European dairy.
